Fire Marshal Training


Fire Marshal (Fire Warden) training educates nominated staff in the day to day roles and responsibilities of Fire Marshal, as well as their duties during an evacuation of their workplace.  It teaches Fire Marshals how to identify and reduce hazards, and creates a team who are able to react confidently in the event of a fire, potentially saving lives and costly fire damage.

This course is suitable for:
  • Managers
  • Heads of departments.
  • Fire Co-ordinators.
  • People who have been nominated as fire wardens or deputy fire wardens responsible for the day to day fire safety of a building or part of a building.
  • People who have been nominated to assist in the evacuation of a building.
Our Fire Marshal training is a combination of practical and knowledge-based activities that cover:
  • The chemistry of fire
  • The behaviour of fire
  • Fire classifications
  • The role of the fire warden
  • Fire prevention
  • Fire procedures
  • General fire precaution
  • Contacting the Fire Services
  • Types, classifications and use of fire extinguishers
  • How to use a fire extinguisher (including practical demonstration if requested)
  • Safety precautions whilst extinguishing a fire

Training can include evacuation drills and fire extinguisher practical training if required, and up to 10 people can take part.
