Who we are
Our Managing Director, Vin Maher, was a serving fire fighter for 22 years before starting Fire Safety Specialists Ltd.
After 15 years on the engines tackling fires, Vin moved into fire safety and training. This involved him investigating the causes of fires; attending the Coroner’s Court following fatalities due to fire; carrying out building inspections; and delivering training within the Service.
When an injury forced him to retire early it was a natural progression to set up Fire Safety Specialists to use his knowledge to help businesses who don’t have the resources internally to undertake Fire Risk Assessments and provide training to their staff.
Having seen just what devastation fire can cause for so many years, Vin wants to ensure your business, premises and, most importantly, your people are protected and safe.
